Congratulations!

RoxannaEllie SOLD!

2002 Chestnut Quarter Horse Mare

Professionally trained, Ellie has been successfully shown on the Quarter Horse circuit by  amateurs. Recently, a seasoned rider on the hunter circuit saw Ellie over fences and thinks she is a perfect prospect for those just starting on the hunter circuit.  Ellie has only been over fences a few times and loves it. Video clip was taken after Ellie had extended time off - family has new horse and less time for Ellie. Ellie tries really hard to do what you want her to do. She is an uncomplicated ride. You can tell her what to do or she can go on autopilot, no fuss no muss. Ellie is very sweet, not marish and likes a lot of attention. Safe, quiet, and well behaved. Ellie is a really good girl!  Just under 16 hands.

Scribbles  SOLD!

2003 Bay Pinto First Premium Oldenburg GOV Mare
Spectrum/Art Deco

Named for the crayon-like markings on her chest, Scribbles was successfully shown in-hand, including Dressage at Devon, as a 2 year old. Scribbles was almost the Reserve Champion Oldenburg GOV for the year as a two year old – except there was a mishap in getting her DNA completed on time. I think her median score for the year was 72.5%.

Scribbles has a daisy-cutter trot and could be a cute cute hunter/jumper. Besides her jumper bloodlines (Argentinus, Gotthard, and Furioso II among others) she has dressage bloodlines and could go that direction, too. Scribbles cleared a 4 foot paddock fence, without a scratch on her, to get back in with her pasture mates.

Scribbles was easy to start under saddle before I acquired her. My limited finances then delayed further training for a time. Scribbles has since been professionally started and is under saddle at the walk, trot and canter. She is ready to finish in the discipline of your choice.

One unseasonably warm Fall day, on a lark, I free jumped Scribbles over low cross rails to see what she would do. She took to it really fast so she was video taped the next day. Scribbles thought it was great fun! The videographer kept asking me to raise the height. The video doesn't show that Scribbles went through the chute on her own multiple times when we were trying to get footage of her at liberty.

RoxannaRoxanna  SOLD!

1998 Bay Ster Dutch Warmblood Mare
Farmer/Beau Le Mexico

See Our Mares page for photos and more information.

Perfect Junior or Amateur Owner hunter prospect!

Roxanna is a pretty and NICE mare with excellent ground manners. She is looking for that special person to bond with and call her own!

Roxanna earned her Ster predicate as a three year old, was started under saddle at four, lightly ridden between foals, and was in professional dressage training for several years.

RoxannaRoxanna was schooled to Second and Third Levels before my horse finances took a nosedive and I couldn't keep her going in training. Roxanna is currently being worked by an older adult amateur who says Roxanna is light and responsive to the aids and she's a fun horse to ride!  .

Dressage clinicians have remarked on Roxanna's overall athletic ability and have asked if she jumps. Besides being schooled and showed over fences as a four year old for her IBOP riding test (for Dutch Warmblood breed inspection), Roxanna was lightly jumped by a teenager within the past year. I was told she "loved" Roxanna.

While Roxanna undoubtedly has the talent and ability to move up the levels in dressage, she prefers to go in a lower level frame and I think she would be happiest as a hunter or jumper.

RoxannaSire is Farmer (Voltaire x Amor) who was Reserve Champion of his stallion testing and judged to be unusually talented and willing in both showjumping and dressage.

Dam is Melvina (Beau Le Mexico x Wanroij) , an Elite Keur Sport mare. Melvina has been a Young Rider's mount and successfully competed at Dressage at Devon.

October 2008 Update: Roxanna was set to go to a super home as a first horse for a 14 year old girl. All were saddened when Roxy didn't x-ray clean on her right front. She has been started on corrective shoeing. It appears jumping may not be in her future, as much as she loves it. We'll know more in February, 2009. Contact for details.

Zander   SOLD!

2004 Dutch Warmblood Colt
Navarone/ Sebastiaan

Zander is a coming 3 year old in May. His current height is 16.3. Zander would make a delightful dressage or hunter prospect. He is a quick learner, good mover, and has excellent ground manners.

Sire: Navarone is the only approved stallion of the legendary  Olympic Jus De Pomme who won gold in the Atlanta Olympics twice. Navarone competed in dressage and jumping in Holland and continues his success as a performance and breeding horse here in the U.S.  He is expected to compete at Prix St. George level in 2006.

Dam:  Godoa (Sebastian x Cadmus) is a 16.3 hand Star mare. She is an all-around athlete having been jumped lightly and shown in dressage. Godoa  passes her excellent temperament to her foals. They are very easy to train, eager to please, and have great movement to boot.

Beaudelaire  SOLD!

2006 Chestnut Dutch Warmblood 1st Premium Colt
Rousseau/Damiro

Beau is the younger full brother of William, shown above. Beau is a.son of Hilltop's Rousseau (Ferro x Roemer) by an elite mare whose breeding is Damiro x Bergerac. Beau received a first premium at his keuring. He is a really super mover and he would make an excellent dressage horse or a really fancy hunter/jumper. His dam has G Ramiro Z, Nimmerdor and Nabuur in her pedigree, of course her off-spring can jump but they also move like grand prix level dressage horses when combined with Ferro and Roemer blood. This one is super!

LexingtonLexington  SOLD!

2003 chestnut Londonderry/Donnerhall gelding

Phenomenal FEI prospect!!

Lex is a horse that has International Quality gaits, yet is very comfortable to ride. Due to his athleticism, he is already schooling all lateral work - shoulder in, haunches in, half pass etc.     Lex is very elastic and moves between collected and extended gaits with ease.  He also has a good single flying change.

Lex is definitely a horse to point towards the FEI 5 year old tests. He is suitable for a professional or accomplished amateur/YR who wishes to excel all the way through the FEI levels.

Wanda SOLD!

2003 bay Dutch Warmblood mare
Contester/Farmer

Hunter/Jumper or Dressage!

Wanda is so nice all the way around: conformation, movement, and mind. She was started under saddle in late 2006. Just green broke at the time, her quiet temperament allowed an older adult amateur to ride her at the walk, trot, and canter. Wanda has three correct gaits with a really nice canter. It looks like collected work will be easy for her!  She is forward moving and responsive to the aids. Wanda is healthy and an easy keeper. You can see the grass has been very good to her this year! Wanda is a people lover and has to come over to see what's going on.

Arosa SOLD!
1999 Chestnut Oldenburg Mare
Alpenstern/Orpheus

Ride and breed this lovely mare.

Arosa is a typey mare with beautiful movement. She successfully debuted as a hunter in her first show, which was AA-rated.  Arosa easily travels up and on-the-bit in a dressage frame and would do well as a lower level dressage mount.  Arosa is in professional training in New York and is ready to go for you.

Breed Arosa later to produce your own fabulous foals. Arosa's dam has already produced one approved Oldenburg stallion and has produced other colts which are serious stallion prospects too.

Arosa's dam:  - Star Dutch mare, Top Three in nation
                     - Premium Oldenburg mare
                     - Successful A circuit mare
                     - Successful dressage career
                     - Produced approved stallion
                     - Her sire is 1988 Olympics competitor, Orpheus

Arosa's sire:   - Sire of multiple show winners
                     - Well-known jumper and dressage bloodlines include Gotthard, Actuell,
                       Absatz, and Perser XX

Arosa as a foalArosa turned heads and created a buzz along the fenceline when she was presented as a yearling at her keuring.

We're quite pleased with the inspector's comments which included: very nice expression, very nice neck, very good foundation, front legs very good - very correct, already coming from behind in the trot.

A change in our breeding direction allows us to offer Arosa for sale.

Arosa - 3 years of age.
